Thousands to benefit as IPRS Health and Physitrack announce digital therapeutics partnership

IPRS Health, one of the UK’s leading providers of rehabilitation, physiotherapy and case management services to the insurance industry, is partnering with digital therapeutics solutions provider Physitrack.

Working with some of the UK’s largest insurance and corporate companies, IPRS Health triage and treat thousands of patients each year. IPRS Health Virtual Rehabilitation is a telephone and online clinical service which allows injured people to access reliable and effective clinical guidance without having to make a face to face appointment. Physitrack’s clinical home exercise technology will now form part of this virtual support as well as being used by practitioners across the IPRS Health UK clinical network.

“At IPRS Health we are constantly looking for new ways to enhance the clinical support we provide to patients. Our rigorous trialling of the Physitrack tools has shown that they have the capability to significantly increase patient exercise compliance and therefore speed-up recovery times,” said Martyn Jackson, Chief Executive of IPRS Group.

Marc Holl is Head of Clinical Services at IPRS Health. “Virtual rehabilitation and digital therapeutics is becoming a key element of the rehabilitation process for many patients,” he explains. “Our experience shows that we can improve recovery times and our patients’ journey to good health by offering web- based support materials as well as telephone or face to face clinical support. Physitrack also gives us the means to analyse recovery situations in more depth for the more than 35,000 patients we treat every year including their clinical outcmes”.

The collaboration will provide IPRS Health’s Virtual Rehabilitation team, and its network of physiotherapists across the UK, with access to Physitrack’s innovative tools for motivation and adherence tracking.

Physitrack’s platform prompts and helps patients to follow clinically verified rehabilitation programmes using a smartphone or tablet app. The programmes centre around an extensive library of high definition exercise videos which have been designed exclusively for Physitrack. Patients provide feedback on their progress via the platform, enabling clinicians to track and assist their progress. Tens of thousands of IPRS Health patients each year will benefit from a more closely monitored rehabilitation process.

“IPRS Health is a cutting edge rehabilitation company with a very impressive team”, said Nathan Skwortsow, co-founder and CTO of Physitrack. “Their adoption of Physitrack is a testament to the effectiveness of modern technology in healthcare and we look forward to working hand in hand with them to further enhance our digital therapeutics offering.”
