The Movement Clinic is always looking at ways to improve their patient's recovery. With Physitrack, they took a step closer to helping patients achieve better well-being and movement.
Dr. Sharja is the Clinic Director and a Chiropractor who shared a glimpse of her everyday work in the Movement Clinic. The Movement Clinic is a sports injury and physical rehabilitation clinic based in Toronto, Canada. The clinic is designed for anyone who experiences injuries where movement is related to their concern. Dr. Sharja describes her patients as everyday athletes, from active parents to competitive youth athletes. Dr. Sharja, together with her team, helps them get back to their active lifestyle. The clinic's mission statement is: "Enabling movement towards a greater purpose."
"We want to help our patients get better and improve movement. Nobody likes to live with pain."
The Movement Clinic has been using Physitrack since 2019 before the pandemic started. When Covid hit, her team had already integrated Physitrack in the clinic, but this is when both patients and practitioners began to see even more value in the virtual services.
"Given that I treat a lot of active patients, I have found that Physitrack is an easy way to enhance their physical recovery and performance through exercise therapy. With the pandemic, patients can't always receive treatment in person. Physitrack is an integral part of my patients' recovery because of the clear video demonstrations and diverse exercise selection. I also love that Physitrack provides an app that has clear exercise demonstrations using video, audio, and text to ensure patients can execute the exercise correctly."
Dr. Sharja explains how she and her colleagues sometimes treat the same patients, and for that reason, there was one feature in particular that made happy practitioners: "We were definitely excited about the multiple program feature. Co-managing among my colleagues became incredibly seamless."
