Meet Kate Gordon

Kate Gordon is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 20 years of expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. After earning her Physiotherapy degree from Otago University in 1999, she worked extensively with sports teams, including the Wainuiomata Rugby League team, the Wellington Shakers Netball team, and at the IRB Sevens Tournament.

Her career took her to the UK, where she gained valuable experience at The London Clinic, The Clementine Churchill Hospital, and Hampstead Physiotherapy. Returning to New Zealand, she worked at Activate Physiotherapy and Jean Willy Physiotherapy before taking on the challenge of managing her own clinic at Nelson City Physiotherapy.

Outside of work, Kate is an active sports coach, mountain biker, and gardener, always staying involved in the community and her family’s activities.

Tackling Compliance Challenges

Before incorporating Physitrack into her practice, Kate faced a common issue many physiotherapists encounter: ensuring patient compliance with exercise programs. Many patients struggled to follow their prescribed exercises consistently, impacting recovery times and treatment effectiveness.

With a busy clinic and a high patient load, Kate needed a reliable solution that would help patients stay engaged with their rehabilitation plans while also streamlining her workflow.

Embracing Physitrack for Better Outcomes

Kate was introduced to Physitrack by a colleague who was already using the platform. Seeing its potential, she decided to try it herself, and it quickly became an integral part of her practice. Physitrack has helped her:

  • Improve patient adherence, leading to better treatment outcomes.
  • Enhance efficiency, saving time in creating and managing exercise programs.
  • Monitor patient progress remotely, ensuring they stay on track with their rehabilitation.

Why Physitrack Works for Kate

One of Kate’s favourite features of Physitrack is its huge library of exercises, which allows her to tailor programs to each patient’s specific needs. This ensures that patients have clear, easy-to-follow guidance, reducing confusion and improving adherence.

“They all comment that having the app is so easy to follow.”

The platform’s user-friendly interface makes it accessible for patients of all ages, making home exercise programs more effective and engaging.

A Game-Changer for Patient Engagement

Physitrack has transformed the way Kate delivers care. With better adherence, patients are seeing improved results, and Kate can provide more efficient support without adding to her workload.

Additionally, the integration of technology into her practice has been well received:

“People love a bit of technology!”

Is Physitrack Worth It?

For Kate, the answer is clear—Physitrack is absolutely worth the investment. The improvement in patient outcomes alone justifies its value, making it an essential tool in her clinic.

Kate’s Advice to Other Practitioners

Kate’s message to those considering Physitrack is simple:

“Give it a try, it’s very easy to use.”

With an extensive exercise library, a user-friendly interface, and the ability to enhance patient engagement, Physitrack has made a significant impact on Kate’s practice. For any physiotherapist looking to improve treatment adherence and streamline their workflow, Kate highly recommends giving Physitrack a go.
